Meet the editor
RADIO CREATORS is edited by Steve Randall, a radio professional with more than 30 years of industry experience, as a presenter, producer, manager, and owner.
His career includes hosting daily shows on Metro Radio, TFM, Magic 1170, FOX FM, Power FM, Ocean FM, and The Breeze and presenting shows on BFBS, Spire FM, JACK fm, and Century London.
He also led the on air team at multi-award-winning small commercial station Andover Sound as programme controller, and was regional programme manager for Celador Radio (Thames Valley).
He also has years of experience in the community radio sector and is passionate about helping stations and their teams to achieve more by thinking big, even while keeping their focus on small communities or target audiences.
“Local radio is NOT dead,” Steve says. “While the heritage stations may now be part of large groups and networks, the radio landscape has never been more exciting. There is an opportunity for smaller stations to make a difference, but this relies on some smart working, open mindsets, and a willingness to always put what the listeners really want at the front of every decision.”
